Brad,
You are probably being used as a relay for spam.  Go to the SMTP security
tab in 'Mail relay options' set 'relay for addresses' or 'no relay' and
restart your smtp service.  You'll probably need to go in and delete all
those 175,000 files but I am less sure about this.
