We have a client that needs to send very large
messages - 7 to 8MB range. This client wants us to increase our current
maximum message size from 5MB to 10MB. This mail server currently supports
several hundred virtual hosts, with 2-3,000 users.
Does anyone have any experience with messages of
this size? Have they caused any problems for the mail server or other
users? We don't want to risk impacting any other clients by increasing the
size limit for this
client. We might be willing to accept some throughput degradation when the large messages are being sent, but not any impact on stability/availability. Anyone know if there will there be any impact on other clients or the server itself? Thanks,
David
