Opening the ports works but the firewall requires a license for each ip address that 
will be going through.  So each internal client that needs access has to have a static 
ip and have an entry in the firewall to access anything outside of the internal 
network. So even if the port is open only the licensed machines can connect.  I was 
thinking about having peer servers and all the clients that don't need access will 
attach to the mail server on the internal network and those that do need internet can 
attach to the mail server that is external
