Mike,

Don't worry about the 'force' for now, disable those and restart the IMAP
service. All you should need is the IMAP service running. If you can login
to an account via POP3, then reconfigure your client to use IMAP instead and
you should be able to connect and sync.

>From the error message, it seems as if your do not have your client
configured correctly, or the IMAP service is not running.

Force Public basically means that if there is an account named 'public', and
this is enabled, the client will login to his user account and this public
account and see messages for both. The public account would have messages
that you want everyone to see.

I have setup my Imail server 6,06 and pretty much is working fine.

So the next thing would be to get the Imap to work.

But what is there really to setup?
The maunal speak of having to to force userser to use public / private mail
boxes. This confuses my (laugh if you must)
Do I have to force ?


when trying to sync the mail boxes with server  all I get is Your imap
server has not responded in 60 sec. would you like et wait ...


So any suggestions ?
