I have some code that does this with ASP and a SQL database. I don't like to say it
much because I feel I am stepping on Ron's toes when I do. If the user name you chose
already exists after 3 tries it does it randomly and let's you decide kinda like
hotmail. It does not add ldap info though. I am working on that part
