Same trouble here! 

Imail 5.x, <200 users all on Outlook Express and/or Web Messaging. All IP-based 
domains, no virtuals. Suddenly on June 1st, SMTP Auth quits. Using relay for 
addresses, local LAN users are back up (by removing auth requirement) but remote users 
(including owner of co.) must use Web Messaging.

Any idea about why this might happen? Why previously working setups die?
