Yes, MS and AD will also attempt to use that port and there will be
conflicts if IMail is also trying to us (which you have changed, good!). If
you use AD, I'm not going to be much help, I know little about that! Yep, M$
can and does pretty much what they want, although I have seen that they seem
to be a bit more careful about using RFC defined stuff then they have in the
past. Maybe they are mellowing out a bit after their brush with 'Justice
Dept'!
Not sure if all LDAP clients allow port changing, so you can talk to MS or
IMail, just by changing configuration. OE seems to have a place to change
it, but I don't have experience with too many others. I have used Ping Pro,
too, but it uses the default port and has no way to change it (that I know
about!).
