Patrick,

<disclaimer>
Again, I'm writing this note to the entire list -- please forgive me -- as
Mr. Mathews repeatedly wrote that he will not answer IMail-related messages
sent directly to him. Seems like I'm forced to abide by Mr. Mathews' rules.
</disclaimer>

I too have been having difficulties in changing my subscription mode to/from
"standard" and "digest" and I believe that the best way is to bypass the
Web-based interface for doing so
(http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html) and send a message
directly to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with either of the following lines in
the message body:

     set mode standard IMail_Forum

     set mode digest IMail_Forum

So far, this worked for me, whereas the link above seemed to be
malfunctioning (for me, anyway).

Please don't post hyperlinks to your rants (even as opposed to posting the
rants themselves) to this list. Why not start your own list and let people
subscribe (opt-in / opt-out mandatory!) to it? If you feel that you have an
audience, a following, it would be best for everyone to have you manage such
a list and keep it off the IMail Forum.

As regards your "Official Flame Towards Ipswitch", I take the stand that
Ipswitch, as a software vendor, is kind enough to provide us -- customers or
not! -- with an unmoderated discussion list where we can share questions and
answers regarding IMail Server. If this service seems to be somewhat lacking
at times, in terms of quirkiness or whatever, I would be in no position to
complain. It is they (Ipswitch) who make it available at no cost and out of
good will. (Okay, it may well spare them some support calls, but the
principle remains.)

Concerning your interest in the piano, may it be beneficial to you. I play
other musical instruments, yet I do not deem it appropriate to mention it
repeatedly on the IMail Forum. I just don't see how all the other
participants would be interested in this *personal* aspect of your life.

I trust that the above will be well received,

Guy
