Hi,
I am in the process of transferring a domain to IMAIL 6.05 and will be
using the SQL Database.
I've used adduser and it worked except the first and last names both appear
in the first name field of the IMail administrator. The user database makes
no allowance for any of the extra fields (phone number etc).
Frankly, I find this (as well as the aliases in the NT registry) as very
frustrating. Is it really a viable option to use a SQL database or not!!
Two questions. Firstly, what are administrators experiences in this regard
and secondly has this been "fixed" in V7 ?
I have ample experience in writing web based applications to add and
otherwise manage a SQL database but none with the NT registry (nor do I
want to).
Thoughts and experiences plus work arounds would be appreciated please.
Glen.
