Thanks for your response.

I spent several hours looking through the docs, KB etc and have finally
come to the conclusion that the personal user details in the IMail
Administrators page refers almost exclusively to the LDAP information which
is located in a separate text based database in the domains root directory.

I'm not certain BUT it looks to me that the IMail Registry database doesn't
contain any more fields than the odbc database with the exception of the
alias database. The alias database residing in the registry I can live with
although I would prefer the aliases in an odbc database as well.

As far as the "additional" data in regards to the options of "Web Access"
etc are concerned, these are also in the odbc database except they are in
the form of a single "Flags" field rather than (as in any true relational
database) in separate fields.

As I have no need to populate the LDAP database with data from my User
database, I can disable the LDAP options and hence users accessing the web
interface won't see (or even have the option to look at) the "User
Information". The First and Last Name appearing in the LDAP database (as
viewed thru the web interface) as the First Name only no longer is an issue.

When/if I need LDAP, I'll worry about it then :-)
