Thanks - the problem has been resolved. It was with the DNS settings under
SMTP in Imail, using outdated info, I wasn't aware it had to be updated
there and that IMail didn't by default use the DNS servers configured for
the actual server box.

Subject: [IMail Forum] STMP problem

We are running IMail 6.06 on our mail serving - hosting about 20 mail
domains and providing smtp services for 3 of them. As of this morning, the
smtp server has stopped sending out any messages that are not to local
hosts. That includes messages sent from the web interface.
The STMP security setting is to allow relay to specific addresses only - for
testing purposes I changed that to relay mail for anyone. That didn't make
any difference.
I've stopped and restarted the smtp service numerous times, have even
rebooted the server, but it didn't make any difference. There is a long
queue of messages in the Imail spool directory that are not going anywhere.
Only messages sent to local hosts go through.
To determine if it could be a dns problem I've used ping from the mail
server - it is able to resolve the IP address for the target mail servers
that smtp is not sending to so that is obviously not the issue.
Any suggestions as to where I should go from here to troubleshoot this
problem? The biggest dilemma is for the many clients who are using the web
interface.
Thanks,
Tor
