I too receivewd a response from support indicating that 'sometimes' after installing 
imail, when the convert.exe utility kicks off, that some UID files might get 
corrupted.  They recommended deleting as required.

I had asked if they will also create a utility similiar to convert.exe to check the 
UIDs for all domains and repair as required -  I got no response.
