I want to point out the deleting the UID file does not fix the problem --
even temporarily -- for all versions of IMail. I first ran into this with
4.07, and I started by talking to MS. They refered me to a KB article that
eventually led me to try deleting the UID file. That did not solve the
problem. I'm currently using version 6.06, and I don't think the deleting
the UID file will help, although I can't recall whether I actually tested
this. On the other hand, I've heard from several Version 7 people who have
been using it while waiting for Ipswitch to fix it.

My biggest regret out of this is that Ipswitch doesn't say much on the
subject. I used to think they were pretending the problem doesn't exist,
but I think it's so well documented now that they know that we all know
about it. I suppose they think they don't have anything helpful to say
(until the problem is fixed), but it would sure ease the minds of a lot of
their customers if they would just keep us up-to-date.

Ben
