Hi All, On my travels I found a new tool called URLscan issued by Microsoft to help combat the current attacks against IIS. Once installed, URLscan checks the validity of incoming requests based upon a set of user-definable rules. We all know the best way to combat Code Red/Nimda is to ensure that all servers are patched. However, this tool should help combat future compromises! It also has a useful logging feature which saves trawling through lots of individual logs looking for hack attempts.
