Obviously... many of you can't read the whole post... or you feel that your money is less important to you than mine is to me... I am a paying customer, that has a paid support contract, and the level of support from them is terrible.  The tech was carrying on a conversation in the background with someone else about food... while every now and then offering and idea....

I spent nearly 2.5 hours on the phone with that tech today... all in all his final answer is I don't know maybe you should upgrade...   Well.. funny how I have spent so much time telling him why I can't, but would if I could... I have the software and the license to upgrade already.. my isp billing software is holding me back...

Many people jump to the conclusions that new is always better... for my network.. smoother is better...I will give up on trying to fish for help.. I thought thats what this list was about.. and Yea ... I am flaming mad at ipswitch... but I still have to use the product cause it fits and it works... minus the list server...

so My open call to the list.. since I have now been waiting for7 days from original post to this list and to support ... can someone that is running 6.06 email me listserv.exe from the imail directory...

A tech at ipswitch said he didn't think they still had it around... funny i think...

Their support seems adaquate.

Personally, since they do offer upgrade pricing, I don't mind earlier versions not being supported.

Other than problems with V7 (which seem to be under control), why would you want to run the old stuff (why would you want to be running Win3.1?).

Well, what do you think I could do about your problem with IPSWITCH?
If you want to tilt at windmills go on over to Spain.

I disagree.  A lot of people have not upgraded yet because we don't want many headaches and are waiting patiently.  This kind of information is important and I agree with him.  No software company should stop supporting any old versions as soon as the new version is released.  If they want to stop support for Imail 4.x or 5.x then fine but 6.x should be supported until 8.x comes out.
