Certainly an understandable condition. However, why
is IMail trying *thousands* of times to send when the
socket 'tain't there? That would seem to be a bug on
the IMail end of things.

I have noted 'normal' send error messages consist of
one line in the log, followed by a 'connection reset
by peer' line.

What we are seeing in these cases are just line after
line after line of send errors.

Can't IMail take a hint? It's acting like a college
roommate I had once. "She hung up on me again. That's
the 128th time today. She must *really* like me!"

10054 is a Winsock error code.  In this case, IMail was trying to send
