Many thanks for the quick response and additional info. It looks like you were right...it's getting this from the reverse DNS. I'm kinda thinking out loud here because I'm still going to have to come up with some kind of workaround. Do you know if on IIS there is a setting to change the primary ip of the box? The box in question has several ip's and I have Imail configured to use another IP which I wouldn't mind to be the primary one which answers, the problem is the one that is answering now is not one that I can use for all domains, so I'm guessing that there is a setting in IIS somewhere that sets one ip to be primary. Or is this something that can not be changed on the box itself, but rather I'd have to change ip addresses of the domains around and wait for reprogation to occur. (hoping this is not the case...) Anyway, really appreciate your insight, if there's any other suggestions you can share, I'd be grateful. Jennifer <<Although this header is a bit different from the way that most are done (since the IP isn't included, or was removed before you posted it), the general principle is the same: There are 2 host names, rather than just one. That's because all another mail server really knows about yours is its IP address. You can claim to be any domain you want. So, many mailservers will do something include the IP address, the domain name (from the HELO/EHLO statement), and then the reverse IP address of the IP address of the mail server. I'm guessing that wrongdomain.com is the reverse DNS entry for the IP address of your mail server.
