        I appreciate the advice.

        Already have it setup through a system DSN with SQL authentication.  I'll
try doing a ODBC trace and see what happens.  As I said it seems to work
it's just really really slow making the web messaging almost useless and
taking forever to get a list of all the users from SQL.  Also have already
seen that short article since the external database setup is not as obvious
as it should be and I had to do a little digging to get that working in the
first place.  Also kind of suprised that IMail even uses the old DSN method
of accessing a database although I suppose many databases don't support a
DSN-less connection?

        IMail also doesn't do a very good job if the server has multiple nic cards,
it give me multiple virtual hosts in the add host list(even through I only
have 1 virtual host) that are identical except for ip address and will not
let me delete any of them.

        I see from looking through the list archives that this is a common problem
and to solve it I would probably have to rebuild the server. :(  After our
initial experience with the product I'm not all that impressed.
