I would like to point out that most patches from Microsoft (sorry, I meant updates) come in the form of .exe. Whilst there are other means of distributing these patches, e-mailing the correct patch directly to a person who needs it is far, far easier than explaining which Micro$oft article they should be reading. A blanket block on all .exe attachments is probably a good thing, but certain companies don't make it easy for the rest of us to implement such a rule. Andy.
