I'm having the same problems...
seems as though after the smtp daemon starts, it stops spawning
or answering smtp requests....

have reinstalled, patched, ran services outsids cluster realm
(has been running fine in this environment for 2 months)
cpu is fine, memory is fine...

any suggestions...
