> we turned off the web-messaging (IMail Web Service) service due to > incompatibility of this service with our backup-tool (Arcserve)
Could you explain the incompatibility? Ipswitch doesn't have any record of this, and it would be a pretty big bug. If it really doesn't work, then EMUMail (http://emumail.com/solutions/webmail/) is a very customizable webmail server that will run on your Imail server in place of Imail Webmail. It is not ColdFusion-based, but, as Len has noted, all the better for speed; a special-purpose web server can/should be considerably faster. Even then, you need to be aware that EMUMail and any other non-Imail solution will suffer from the overhead of accessing your Imail server non-natively. The webmail server itself may be faster, but that's not everything. Better to root out and solve the Imail/ARCserve issue, though. Write back with details. Sandy P.S. There is Advanced WebMail (http://www.advancedwebmail.com/index.cfm), which is a CF-based webmail. I have never used it and would have no grounds to recommend it.
