Imail
users,
We have peering
setup between 2 systems. Both are correctly configured and have SMTP VRFY
enabled. Everything worked fine for about 10 hours when for some unknown
reason one of the systems stopped doing verifies for mail that was not
local. It just started rejecting all the mail that should have been routed
to the other system with invalid userid for final delivery because it was not
local. I don't know if maybe the verifies started to fail or if the system
just stopped attempting them, they do not show up in the log. Is it
possible that the system perceived all of the verify requests as a possible hack
attempt and denied them? I've removed the peering and dropped back to a
single system for now. Any help on this issue would be appreciated as it
is very perplexing.
Thank
you,
Jeff
