We use ASPEmail as well... Very good. Another thing to note: if you do go with the pay version you can set username/password for SMTP AUTH... So no worries with relay issues.

You just point it to an SMTP server and go. There is no "integration" with IMail, any properly configured SMTP server will work. If your IMail SMTP service is setup and working right, you should have no problems. Make sure your web server has relay permissions (relay for addresses in Imail) if you need to send mail to anyone not local on your Imail server, otherwise the mail will be denied at the Imail server. I did look at the CDONTS objects docs before (as I recall they were quite a pain the the a$$), that's when I bought ASPEmail.
