You can use both the DOS and Windows version. We chose the Windows version since you have to buy the 20 station site license (the best deal on the planet at $40!). This allows us to protect most of our workstations in the office as well. The Windows version also has its own scheduler for downloading the updates without setting up batch files and using the Windows scheduler.
