nm, the rules do exactly that, not sure how I missed them! I should be able to get it to work by creating a rule to filter based on subject and forward them back to my vb program which can then send an automated error message out.
Thanks anyhow, ~Brad -----Original Message----- From: T. Bradley Dean [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 1:03 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: List Rules - Reject Email Based On Subject? Is it possible to reject a post to a list based on the subject? Is it possible to customize the rejection notification email? I send out emails every day to list members using a VB program. I don't use the list to do this, I just send each email manually. They can respond to that email and post to the list but I want them to change the subject first. The subject is always something like "[ListName] 02/27/2002 - ListName Daily Email". So if a post comes in that is simply "RE: [ListName] ANY DATE - ListName Daily Email" I want it to be rejected. It would be best if the rejection email said that it was rejected because of the subject. Thanks, ~Brad Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
