At about 6am this morning, the smtp service died on our Imail 7.06 server. I was not able to restart the service. I rebooted the server and the service is now running but I am not receiving any mail. We are able to send mail without any problems.
There are no error messages in the mail logs. In fact, there is no mention of receiving mail at all. I have queried other dns servers just to be safe and this does not appear to be a dns issue. Hope someone out there has an idea as to what this problem could be.. I've frittered away my Sunday working on it.
