[IMail Forum] Moving from Netscape Messaging Server to IMail

Well it's almost time for me to pull the plug on my old Netscape Messaging Server.  I'm going to be transfering mail in 1 of 2 ways.  The first way as outlined in document IM-19991028-DM01 will be a pain in the butt but doable and time consuming.  The second way is for me to write a script that will convert the NMS storage system, each message in it's own file, to the that of IMail.   The question that I have is, is there any need for main.uid or can I just ignore it?  I know that I can retrieve mail without this file.   David
