Be also aware that (since you obviously have people leaving messages on the server), MUAs use UIDLs to keep track of which messages they've seen. As far as I know, the only way to keep the UIDLs for sure is to create your own MBXs, like we're discussing, and let the MAIN.UID get autocreated.
