I am sure you have seen on www.dnsstuff.com where you can put in the IP address of the mail server and it will show which lists you are on. You can then go to http://www.declude.com/junkmail/support/ip4r.htm for an explanation and link on each listing.
Yes, if you try to send mail to an outside domain, and have it set to smtp authentication, you must have "Outgoing server requires logon" to be able to send.
