Not around here. We once had a hard drive crash on our main server, the
owner asked me what we could do to prevent it from happening again. I
proposed a $50,000 raid 5 subsystem (about 1/4 of the cost of the entire
server). He said "No, too much money". Less than a month the existing
subsystem crashed again and the company still wouldn't replace it with a
raid system! Those two incidents probably cost us 1/4 million in lost
revenue. I finally got my raid subsystem when I bought a brand new
server (had to sneak it in though).
Someday we'll learn.
Regards,
Roland

That's understandable. A lot of companies buy Declude Virus after they
get
hit by a virus, rather than beforehand. It's a lot easier to get
approval
for a purchase that could have prevented a problem that already
occurred,
than to get approval for a purchase that could prevent a hypothetical
problem.
