It wasn't for a mail server, it was for our RS/6000. Our mail server is
a little bitty guy with only about 60 gig of disk and a 1ghz cpu.

0/1 vs. Raid5?  It's faster, just requires more disks and is more
expensive vs. Raid 5 for a given partition size.  But with a $50K
budget, that shouldn't be an issue unless you are storing a hell of a
lot more mail than we
are...(?)
