Just when you thought the whole Battle Creek, MI issue was over (for those
that missed it: They single-handedly shut down ORBZ, and made everyone
happy by not sending the ORBZ admin to jail).
I, like many other IMail users, added a comment to the Battle Creek, MI
"Guest Book" voicing my opinion. Guess what? I've already received 2
spams (yes, the were caught by Declude JunkMail!) on the E-mail address
that I used there. The first one appeared to be from a clueless spammer
(they gave a URL to a domain that doesn't have a web site yet), but the
second one was from a hard-core spammer (cute HTML E-mail about a search
engine).
So the bad news is that Battle Creek, MI ended up increasing spam. But the
good news is that the death of ORBZ didn't hurt spam detection as bad as
some people may have thought it would.
