Mailwasher is acting as a mail client and must either do SMTP AUTH or be a whitelisted address. Since you have set "no relay" (which is good), you must require that all client connections do SMTP AUTH, including mailwasher.
Contact them and ask if they can do SMTP AUTH. Because they are acting as a mail client on a client machine, they need to authenticate as a client. They should not be incredibly surprised at this requirement.
