I have mine set up behind a sonicwall..... Are
you using NAT or Standard mode??
First create a service call ed IMail containing all
the appropriate ports....They are listed in the manual I belive...or you can get
them from the IPswitch knowledge base. You can only assign 1 port at a
time to a service using Sonicwall products...but if you keep creating new
services with the exact same name "IMail", then it treats them all as 1 when you
create you rules. Then add the new IMail service.
Then if you are using NAT, you can just add the IP
address of the IMail server to the Public LAN Server field of the IMail
service.
or
If using Standard mode just create an ALLOW rule
letting traffic pass to it. I don't know your specific requirements so
there may be managment ports that you may want to seperate into a seperate rule
so that you can allow managment from specific locations only. If you need
any help with the Sonicwall let me know....I have about 40 of them on my
network...so I know them pretty well.
