Can the user connect to the machine via the IP? If so he could have problems with his DNS setup

Well, I used dnsreport yesterday and everything checked fine except I changed one of my NS server's names and Network Solutions won't let me modify my record (or atleast they wouldn't 4 months ago, haven't had time to retry).  I just checked again and everything stills comes out fine except that 1 NS server.

Hi David

I did some checking and here are the results I got.  Per a dig with Sam Spade, I didn't see any Mail eXchange (MX) records.  A further test using www.DNSSTUFF.com to look for your MX records is also negative.  I also checked it using  www.dnsreport.com and it says your mail checks OK, but there are some issues.  Best suggestion is to check your DNS and then use these tools to verify your configuration using resources from outside of your own network..

Subject: [IMail Forum] AOL and POP3

Since switching over to IMail on Sunday, we have a user that connects through AOL and is unable to retreive his e-mail.  He is using OE and connecting via POP3 and it complains about not being able to find or connect to our server.  Before moving to IMail, we used Netscape Messaging Server and he was able to log in just fine.  Any suggestions?
