Not really anything to do with IMail, but... Yesterday, we had a user using Outlook 2000. All of their HTML email came in normally. All of their plain text messages came in okay except for one thing. The message body was also attached as a .txt attachment. This was true of all plain text email received. About a hundred plain text messages came in from various servers, all with their message bodies attached as a separate file. All the HTML emails (about 30 or so) were received normally.
We exited and restarted the user's Outlook 2000 client and the problem disappeared. A duplicate .txt attachment of the message body was not in future received emails (approximately the next 20). So the question is: has this ever happened to anyone else? Should I chalk this one up to the X-Files or is this a symptom of something bad? We checked the KB on ipswitch and microsoft for "plain", "text", and "attachments". Big goose egg.
