Greetings,
I just upgraded IMail from 7.04 to 7.07 (with new Web templates) and I find
that a seemingly trivial customization I had made to the 7.04 templates does
not work anymore. The underlying rationale is that users wish to have a few
blank lines preceding the separator line ("Original Message") in which to
start composing text. The default behavior of the stock Ipswitch templates
forces them to position the cursor at the very beginning of the text area
and hit <Enter> a few times.
At these users' request, I had added five " " before the
<!--IMAIL.MessageBodyForward--></textarea> and
<!--IMAIL.MessageBodyReply--></textarea> tags in files FWDMSG1.HTML and
REPLYMSG1.HTML respectively. This doesn't work in 7.07, even if I use <br>
or <p> as these HTML tags show up literally rather than performing their
expected function. Moreover, I also want to trim the lengthy string of
hyphens preceding and following the "Original Message" separator line and am
at a loss to find out where this is "hard-coded".
