There's no NOOP command issued in that log. The NOOP is only necessary for: streaming messages all the way from the client (Imail doesn't do this); at other times when an originating mail server is aware that the delay is on its end and wants to keep the connection alive; or to verify that a remote server is not responding. If you can get a network trace of an SMTP transaction, you can determine whether Imail indeed is sending a NOOP at all and whether it's sending a long fixed-length string (a bug), rather than the RFC six-character NOOP<CR><LF>. -Sandy Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
