Question regarding list management. Because the list name is in some Outlook address books, a virus will send itself out to the list. I have Declude and F-Prot, which is great... I don't know what I'd do without it.
Anyway, the problem is that the recipients of the list get the message from Declude (i.e.... So and so tried to send you a message, but it has a virus. Don't worry, you didn't get it)... However, this message doesn't need to go to list recipients. I see 2 options: 1. In Declude, configure it so that it doesn't go to any list recipients (I imagine this is possible... Right Scott?) 2. In I-Mail, set it up so that only subscribers can post to the list. I like this option, with one exception. I am not on many of the lists, but I will still send e-mails to the list. So, can I set "only subscribers can post" AND "enables posters list", which will let anyone on the list plus whoever is in the posters list to post? How are y'all handling this? One more question. I have some lists that refer to other lists (i.e., big-mama-list has 3 little lists). If I choose "only subscribers can post", does that mean that I could send if my e-mail address is one of the little lists, or does it check if I am on one of the little lists, and then let me post? I imagine it is the first... But who knows. Thanks, Jason Alba IT Manager Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
