Fixed the problem on the MX Connect and still kicking self!!! Unintentionally, this last Sunday when doing some spring cleaning of some IMail virtual accounts and folders we no longer host, I deleted apparently deleted the virtual folder of the IMail server itself. This was causing the MX Connect Failure. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me troubleshoot.

This however would also be caused by not getting a valid return form the DNS IMail is talking to. If you have multiple DNS addresses in the SMTP DNS Address field try using only one known good one.
