Is this for real? Why would they go and change the command line without letting people know?

Yesterday afternoon, I installed the newest 3.12a F-prot on my mail server. This morning when I got to work, I normally would have 100+ virus notifications. I had 2. It seems that F-Prot changed the filename of their DOS scanner from F-Prot.exe to FPcmd.exe and the command line parameters changed from using a / to using a - and some of the command line options are no longer available. Check FPcmd /? for all the commands, and remove those that are in your config that aren't in the actual parameters. Once I made the appropriate changes to the virus.cfg file, we were stopping viruses again. I suspect I'm not the only one that made this oversight. I thought this was a minor revision change..... OK, lets NOT go there...... ROFL Trent ----------- Trent M.
