If you can't ping them or access their web site, and flushing the DNS cache
and rebooting the IMail server fixed the problem, then the problem is a DNS
problem (perhaps they recently updated their DNS, but didn't do it
properly). Or, there could possibly have been corrupt data in your DNS cache.

If the DNS for their domain, according to your DNS server, was broken
(which it was, although the problem could have been on their end or yours),
then IMail may not have a log file entry showing the delivery attempt.

It sounds like it is fixed. Whether the problem was a corrupt DNS cache or
a DNS problem on the remote end, it's fixed now. The only thing that
*might* need to be fixed is if the DNS was poisoned by a malicious user, in
which case you would need to upgrade your DNS servers to a secure version
of the DNS software. But, that probably wasn't the problem.
