I'm not sure I understand you here. What's wrong with others using my DNS?
How would they be stealing from me? I thought the whole idea of a public
DNS was to allow others to use it so that they can find out how to access my
resources, such as my web sites and mail servers. Sorry if I'm a little
dense, but I obviously have not been doing this very long. I am learning
here.

Ok, I will look into it. Do you know if BIND8 can use an alias IP instead
of the canonical IP of the machine on which it is working?

I still have a question outstanding concerning IMail.

Can the IMail primary host IP be switched to using an alias IP rather than
the primary IP? The IP address is exactly the same. The only difference is
that it will be an alias IP rather than the canonical IP. Will it still
function ok? Seems like it would if the virtual hosts can be assigned alias
IP's and work ok, but I need some expert advise here. I guess I will be
calling IMail tech support on Monday, but I was hoping to get the low down
here first.

Thank you everyone for helping me. I really appreciate it.
