> It took about 3 or 4 versions of the BOUNCE message before I found one that people actually read and followed the instructions. Before this one, people would ignore it and try to reply, call the person they were trying to mail, or do something else stupid. In case you're interested, I pasted a copy of it below.
Very nice wording. I like it. The only problem is depending on the volume of SPAM, you are creating that much return mail. Plus all the bounces that will come back and then be deleted. But I do like it for certain weights or certain tests. >I did something similar. Made a [EMAIL PROTECTED] that goes to NUL. Only I enter the headers into the bounced e-mail with a URL to a form where they can paste it in to send it to me and a field for their e-mail address if it warrants a response. I like this part. Although it is requiring a little more effort on the part of the recipient. Actually, I would like to gather a poll on this. If you think it is better to have them forward to a different address, respond to me off list with FORWARD. If you think it is better to have them copy and paste in a special URL, respond to me off list with URL. I am serious about this. John Tolmachoff IT Manager, Network Engineer RelianceSoft, Inc.
