Hello all, In an attempt to stop spam mining of our mail server (version 7.06, all HFs installed), we have a 'nobody' alias that accepts all incoming mail.
What is the group's opinion of accepting mail for 'nobody'? It seems inappropriate that we are not bouncing legitimate incorrectly addressed mail. The reason for my question: today a client told me that she did not receive a specific e-mail. She had verified with the sender that the address was correct. I checked the 'nobody' mailbox and found the e-mail that she was expecting. I have checked, and double-checked, and the mail was correctly addressed and the user mailbox is working correctly. We do not have any kind of anti-spam filters (yet), and in every respect our Imail server is working properly; does anyone know why a perfectly formed and correctly addressed e-mail for a valid user would be put into the 'nobody' account?
