Hello,
My Imail server (6.0) has developed a tendency to "lock up".
I've placed locks up in quotes because server responds to
a certain degree. In fact, run away process may be more
appropriate..
I can move the mouse, and login, but I cannot get any other applications,
(including Task Manager) to run. Instead, I just get an hour glass. The
other
symptoms of this "lock up" are a failure of the SMTP and HTTP services (as
reported
by What's Up Gold). The only way for me to clear the problem is to perform
a hard
reboot, which I'd like to avoid as it corrupted OS files last time.
The only other application on the server is Symantec Norton AV Corporate
Edition, which is
only set to scan the OS partition. I've gone so far as to rebuild the
server, but the problem
persists. Any ideas or suggestions?
