Correct (although for most other mailservers that return a "250 OK" for all
E-mail addresses, they will not even report an error after the "DATA" segment).

But if you're going to do that, why not send a confirmation E-mail. :)
The real answer, though, is yes -- the E-mail validation component could do
that. On the other hand, it appears as though it would only be useful for
Yahoo, as other mailservers that accept all mail to a given domain
(bouncing it later) will not return an error message (so you would have to
process bounce messages to be certain that an address was
non-deliverable). There are also domains that use IMail's "nobody" alias
or the equivalent, and accept all mail...
