One of our clients is an e-commerce site. They have new members sign up, and they must provide an e-mail address.
They/we are having a lot of problems with invalid e-mail address, and they do not want to implement a confirmation e-mail, instead using a component to do a real time check if the e-mail address is valid. The problem is yahoo.com is doing something different and the component will not fail on an invalid yahoo.com e-mail address. It seems that the component (http://www.hexillion.com/software/components/HexValidEmail/) does not do the actual SMTP send command, but I am not well versed in these things. Any advice?
