We started using StarGate [http://www.StarGate.com] a long time ago and transferred all of our domains from Network Solutions (company from hell) to these guys.
We also work with a large number of charities, nonprofits, and organizations through our company ClickandPledge.com - and have recommended StartGate to all of them since they do DNS for free. For 2+ domains you can purchase domains for $8.75 and renewals are $9 - transfers are $7.75. They have been great for us and you can also purchase bulk domains with advance payment of $200. Each domain purchase becomes $8. Since they do DNS and URL forwarding as well, based on our research they offer the best price for the service. Hope that helps.
