That did it. I cleared the arp cache and restarted the mail services. All is back to normal.
Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, I know nothing about Cisco routers I do know that the IP itself is working fine as I'm able to access the web interface from within that subnet, just not from any other subnet. I have a router guy that I deal with but I can't get a hold of him. What is the default expiration time for ARP cache? You will either have to wait for the ARP cache to expire on your routers and switches, or manually clear the ARP tables on them so that the incorrect MAC address is not longer associated with the IP address. You may also need to reload your IMail server since the OS may have disabled the IP address when it saw the duplicate address being broadcasted. While working on a firewall I accidentally added an IP to it that is the same IP of a domain on my IMail server. This of course caused the domain to go down. I've since removed the IP address from my firewall but I still can't access my IMail domain web interface either by Ip or by domain name, "mail.domain.com". If I try to access the domain from the same subnet I can get it without issue but if I try from a different subnet I can't see it. This is obviously a DNS issue but how can I get my DNS to see the IP correctly? I've tried clearing out the cache on both my client system and on the DNS server itself. Can anyone shed some light here? I hope I'm making sense here. I'm a bit rushed as I'm between a rock and a hard place. Thanks in advance! Troy D. Hilton SofWerks LLC.
